
Brett Schweitzer is serving in his third season with the Souris Valley Sabre Dogs. Before coming to Minot, he spent a year and a half working as a Team Sales Representative for Universal Athletic in Bismarck, ND. Brett is no stranger to the Expedition League, as he was a Marketing Intern for the Badlands Big Sticks during the inaugural season in 2018.
Brett graduated from North Dakota State University in 2018 with a degree in Sports Management. During his time in Fargo, he worked as a Marketing Intern for the NDSU Bison Athletic Department as well as a Box Office Intern for the Fargo Force. Brett was part of the NDSU Sport Management Association that attended the 2018 NFL Draft in Dallas, Texas as an event volunteer. Before transferring to NDSU, he attended Bismarck State College and played baseball for the Mystics from the fall of 2014 through the spring of 2016.
The Dickinson native graduated from DHS in 2014 where he played baseball and hockey for the Midgets. Brett came through the ranks of the Dickinson Baseball program where he suited up for the Roughriders legion baseball team from 2012 through 2015 and spent the following two summers coaching Babe Ruth Baseball.
Brett has a passion for the game of baseball and has always been up to date on all things involving the Atlanta Braves and Minnesota Twins. Away from work, he enjoys catching some sun on the pontoon at his parents place in Mandan, playing softball, attending rodeos, going hunting or golfing, attending country music concerts, and spending time with his dog, George Strait Schweitzer.
